Do you ever understood a song for the first time after years of listening?

I've been listening to Julia by John Lennon (technically The Beatles, but whatever) for about 15 years. In a time long ago I read in a book that Yoko meant "ocean child" in Japanese. For whatever reason, it hit me today:
"Half of what I say is meaningless, but I say it just to reach you Julia, ocean child, calls me, so I sing the song of love..."

He was singing to his mother about falling in love with Yoko. I am moved in a way I cannot describe.

Half of what I say is meaningless
But I say it just to reach you
Julia
Julia
Julia
Oceanchild
Calls me
So I sing a song of love

Julia
Julia
Seashell eyes
Windy smile
So I sing a song of love
Julia

Her hair of floating sky is shimmering
Glimmering
In the sun

Julia
Julia
Morning moon
Touch me
So I sing a song of love
Julia

When I cannot sing my heart
I can only speak my mind
Julia
Julia
Sleeping sand
Silent cloud
Touch me
So I sing a song of love
Julia
Calls me
So I sing a song of love
For Julia
Julia
Julia

I didn't know that about Yoko.

Thank you; that made a beautiful song even more so to me.
