Car Insurance Advice (or...Busted)

An email from my current car insurance carrier, Esurance, informed me that my new six month premium was to be nearly TWICE of what I paid in August. When I emailed the company, they cited my five traffic violations, which occurred between June 2005 and June 2006. It was a very bad year for the fuzz and I. I had figured that, if I was to be penalized for these infractions that it would have happened by now. Supposedly not. Supposedly, I slipped through the cracks only to be caught at a later date. Busted.

As a result I'm in the market for some new car insurance. Despite the fact that the company has always been really good to me, I can't afford the steep incline. I mean, even a gal like me has to have some options. At least I hope so...

Does anyone have anything good or bad to say about any particular company? Your advice would be greatly appreciated.
